Weekly Wine Tasting April 17th - 19th 2025
For the Easter Weekend we will have 3 wines from the Loire Valley and 3 from the Southern Rhone Valley open to taste. We start at the mouth of the Loire River with a Muscadet, followed by a Pouilly Fumé from about as far upstream as quality wine is made. Then over to Chateauneuf du Pape for a 96-point, 100% Clairette Rose. Our first red sees us in the middle section of the Loire Valley, for a Cabernet Franc, then back to Chateauneuf du Pape for a 91-point blend featuring most of the allowed red varietals. Our final wine is a 93-point 90% Grenache from Gigondas. Taste all 6 for $30, individual pours are $4 to $8, taxes included. The Gare du Vin has; Sigalas Assyrtiko Santorini ($6), Pernot Puligny Montrachet ($10), Tempier Bandol Rouge ($7) and the Turtle Rock Westberg Red ($10). The tasting bar will be open Thursday through Saturday from 3.30 to 7.30.
